Sword Art Online, coming to a conclusion early this morning had a great theme to it. I really enjoyed the nice balance between the small hints of love to the bigger portions of action. The choice of brighter colours in this anime was definitely the right choice as it really created that "melancholy" feel to it. It isn't one of those "I'll watch it when I have time" types of anime, it really is a must see in my opinion. Overall I think that this anime was fantastic as it didn't leave you feeling like "we'll this was unsatisfying" at the end.

I would say it's 9/10. 10/10 I would give for the novel.

I'll give it a 9/10. It's a really great anime in my opinion (in fact it's 1 of 2 animes that ever made me trembled ). Though at some part they seemed to rush it a bit (example in "A Murder Case in the Area").
The LN however, I'll give it 9.5/10
Of course the detail is much more overwhelming than the anime and I can really feel the emotion of the character the writer's trying to convey through his work (at least for me ).

- Also for me, each of the SAO arc have different themes.
Something like this I suppose:
SAO and ALO arc : Love(Of course refering to Kirito and Asuna), Resolute(In SAO, their resolution to stay alive and end SAO. In ALO, seen by Kirito trying to find Asuna)
GGO arc : Strength/Power(Sinon trying to gain "Strength" to face her trauma), Life(Past of Kirito and Sinon that had killed a person before)
Mother's Rosario arc : Strength(Yuuki fighting her illness ever since she was born), Life(shows how much fragile life is when Yuuki died)
Caliber (ALO sidestory) : «Nothing can be shouldered alone»
Then again, this is just how I see the anime/LN, just want to share it so dont flame me if I said anything wrong or offend anyone
Unfortunately, I havent read Alicization. Going to reread the whole LN first
